One more month...

It kind of sounds long but if I say four more weeks, it's like right around the corner.

Inside story: Alysa is on the constant move, and she is getting bigger and more powerful every day. Two weeks ago, she weighed 5 pounds, feels like she weighs about 6 pounds now. She will probably be giant when she is finally born. I can see her wavy motions from the outside that sometimes last for a few minutes. At 26 weeks she was in breech which is not unusual at that point, but not desirable for natural labor. She flipped, and her head is down towards my pelvis with her feet below my ribs. I think she is very cooperative with me and getting ready to come out soon.

There are a few things I have to do at work before I go into my labor; I need to do paperwork to get my leave approved, need to gain access to my work e-mail from home, clean up my desk and take my personal belongings home and hopefully, train the person who will be replacing me.

I am so glad I've decided to take an extra day off every week, it gives me enough time to rest and do things without getting too tired to go back to work. Today, I think I am going for a long walk.

Little update

The reason I am not updating my blog as often is that I have been pretty much preoccupied by my new change; expecting a baby girl in August, that is. Everything is going amazingly well, and I am at one of the happiest moments in my life. Honestly, I underestimated the amount of joy this could bring to me before I got pregnant. I'm really glad I decided to have a baby now, it is worth the wait.

Her name is Alysa, 亜理紗 in Japanese, she will have a middle name unlike me, but we haven't decided what it is yet. I have had two an hour-long ultrasounds so far and got to see her growth through 3D images, which made me very emotional and hopeful. I can hardly wait to see her in person.

As far as my photography goes, I'm always thinking about it somewhere in my head. I was just looking at some of my old shots and realized how badly I need to practice. I took my camera with me when I went for a walk the other day but ended up taking only one shot and deleted it. I suppose I have more interests in feeling and thinking about Alysa right now that I can only take crappy pictures... But, it's ok.

Here is another image of Alysa.
