Shots from a trail that used to be a railroad in the 1800's. It was pretty amazing to see how flat it was being in this mountainous area. The water in a swamp along the trail was quite high, and the humidity made it a perfect condition for bugs to follow us. As I was taking photos, my husband noticed that Cora was surrounded by 5 or 6 deerflies, which persistently stayed with her the whole time, so we decided to turn around after about 3 and a half miles in.
That's a very nice trail. I've been talking some nature walks too (kind of), so I'll upload a few to my new Flickr (shashinmachine) soon, I hope.
